Roo Dee

Meet Roo Dee. He was rescued from the Lancaster, CA shelter. He came into the shelter as an “Owner Surrender”. He was scheduled to be put to death the following Monday. That following Monday they went to the kennel he was in to take him to be put to death but he wasn’t in there. They looked around but were unable to find him. Two days later on Wednesday they found him four kennels down in a drain pipe. A friend of mine who was at the shelter was told about this JRT mix puppy who was now sick with pneumonia and needed rescued. Carrie called me asking if I could take him. I decided I would make room for this pup who thanks to hiding in the drain pipe saved his own life. Roo Dee is now healthy, UTD on his vaccinations, neutered, and ready to amuse his adoptive family with his puppy antics. Roo Dee is approximately five months old and I believe to be a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi mix. After all he endured at the shelter Roo Dee is somewhat shy at first but warms up quickly. Roo Dee is dog friendly as he is living in a multiple dog household. He plays well with JRT’s, Border Collies and a Chi. SEAVIEW PELUCITA

Lucy is registered with the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America (JRTCA) as Seaview Pelucita, aka LUCY. She is nine years old and was bred by a respected Jack Russell Terrier breeder from Laguna Beach, Ca. Lucy has been shown successfully in JRTCA sanctioned Terrier trials in the Racing Division earning numerous class wins and Racing Championships. Lucy is a well rounded girl who loves to snuggle with you under the covers when it’s time for bed. Lucy is living with me in my home with both Jack Russells and Border Collies and gets along well with my males but is somewhat selective with befriending the females. Lucy happily greets people who are strangers to her. She enjoys playing ball with well behaved children. Before being spayed Lucy produced several puppies who were named champions in the racing Division at sanctioned trials. An opportunity to adopt/own a JRTCA registered Jack Russell with the extensive competitive experience that Lucy has doesn't come along very often. At the 2011 Diggin West Challenge Terrier Trial Lucy was named Senior Veteran Racing Reserve Champion on Saturday, then Senior Veteran Racing Champion on Sunday. TRAVIS

Travis is a gentleman in the house but is eager and enjoys hiking in the woods, and long walks through the park. Travis likes all the adults he meets. Travis LOVES all the well behaved children he meets. Travis HATES cats. Travis would be the ideal partner for a family that will include him in their activities and on their vacations. Travis can be trusted to be left alone when no one is home and will not “entertain” himself by destroying your shoes or household belongings. Don’t let his age be a deterrent. At ten years old he still has years of love to share with the people who welcome him into their lives. For information about possibly adopting Travis please send an email to robbin@robbinsrescuedrussells.com with “Adoption Interest in Travis” in the subject line.
